A couple of shots showing some of the landslips to the east of Charmouth beneath Stonebarrow … the first shows two of the main slips (marked with arrows) … the closest one came down in Jan 2006 and has been moving and growing ever since. This is the most productive area at the moment as the slips has gone straight through the flatstone horizon …… the further slip came down in Jan 2007 and has been rapidly eroding ever since. This has mainly brought down part of the green ammonite beds and belemnite marls. It is no where near as productive as the earlier slip … but it is possible to find some nice green ammonite nodules and remains of marine reptiles from the red band …
